Crystal McVay, APRN

Crystal graduated RN school in 2006 from Ethel Bauer School of Nursing in Arizona. In 2008, she moved back to Panama City, FL, where she worked at an inpatient dialysis unit and SNF. She was unhappy with her career choice of nursing and was on her way to the college to look at other career choices when a friend called and asked if she would be interested in a job at the wound care center. She declined explaining that she was not happy with nursing and was going to find a new career.

She went to the facility anyway and that was where she fell in love with nursing, finally finding her passion in life. She began working in wound care in 2010. She wanted to expand her knowledge and graduated with her BS in 2015 from Grand Canyon University. Again, seeking more knowledge and greater experience, she graduated from South University with her MSN in 2017. She is certified with the AANP and has held wound care certifications in the past.

She is a local to Panama City, only moving away to Texas and Arizona for a short period of time. She has a daughter that amazes her daily. Her daughter's dream is to become a marine biologist or a herpatologist. She and her daughter are animal lovers. They love all of their fur babies (some scaly ones, too) so much that they foster as well. They always have a "zoo" at their house.
